Maintenance Engineer
Location: Chelmsford
Salary:

  • Afternoon shifts: £18.34 per hour plus company bonus scheme
  • Morning shifts: £17.31 per hour plus company bonus scheme

We are recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our transport team, operating from our two Chelmsford bases. If you are a professional driver who takes pride in delivering excellent service and wants to work with a modern fleet, this is a great opportunity to join a supportive and well-established operation.

We operate seven days a week, so some weekend work will be required. Shift patterns are available across both mornings and afternoons.

What you will be doing

  • Completing multi-drop deliveries to customers safely and efficiently
  • Providing a high-quality, professional service at all delivery points
  • Operating modern vehicles ranging from vans to 18 tonne lorries
  • Loading and unloading vehicles in line with procedures
  • Wearing company uniform and PPE provided
  • Following all road safety, health and safety, and company policies

What we are looking for

  • Valid HGV Class 2 licence
  • Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
  • A professional and reliable approach
  • Good knowledge of road safety and compliance
  • Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
  • Previous multi-drop experience is beneficial but not essential

Shifts and hours

  • Operation runs 7 days a week, including weekends
  • Morning shifts start between 4am and 8am
  • Afternoon shifts start between 3pm and 6pm
  • Full-time hours with consistent shift patterns
